What is the range of the e-NV200? Black cabs tend to drive the streets of london all day, covering many miles. Would an EV be able to cope with the mileage required? They're not going to be a success if they need to spend a lot of the time at charging stations.
According to an article at Top Gear black cabs drive an average of 120 miles a day which the Nissan e-NV200 can cope with on just two charges; one overnight, and another 30 minute charge at lunchtime.

I wonder when the first electric cabs will actually be on the streets of London.
It really does sound like an excellent idea.
I assume that the changes in traffic densities have been calculated into claim that it will only need two charges.
