I'll add one prediction to your list, which is the unwholesome fact that the 7 billion problem today might turn out to be a 9 or 10 billion super-problem at mid-century. I think I'll also suggest that if nuclear weapons had not been invented, we would see the kind of wars that Mr Rambo promised one of the fools harassing him. Or to use his words: "I'll show you a war like one that you've never seen before."
