Luis Colasante & Serge Mazodilla

Luis Colasante is the Group Energy Manager and Head of Economic Research at Sogefi Group. He is in charge of developing the Group energy strategies and policies; as well as macroeconomic research for the Purchasing Commodity Department of the Group. He provides analysis in forex, interest rate, commodities as well as energy trading strategies and hedging. Prior to that, he was the Lead International Energy Trader of Sogefi Group (2012-2014). From 2009- 2012 Luis was Energy Manager at Exelcia developing “Energy Certificates” and he worked at EDF, Engie (GDF-Suez), Petroplus and other listed energy companies. Luis has published works including a paper concerning to energy saving (Ecole des Mines de Paris), and has also been invited speaker in different energy related meetings. Luis Colasante has a Masters Degree in Quantative Finance from the University Paris Dauphine, a Certificate in Quantative Finance I & II Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique “ENSAE” and a Masters Degree in Energy Systems and Policies from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris and Luis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University de Los Andes (Mérida-Venezuela).

Serge K Mazodila is a qualified Technical Analyst, Head Energy Trader and a Senior Manager at LG Energy Group. He is in charge of developing the Group’s Trading Strategies, Risk-Management policies and leads its market intelligence as Editor-in-Chief; covering energy commodities, equities, FX and Fixed-income, whilst specialising in Macro-economic research and Geopolitical implications on markets. Serge manages the Group’s portfolio of gas, power and oil clients with over £2b under management. Prior to that, he worked in ‘The City’ focusing on Geopolitical & Country risk, and led market research on Global-Macro & Micro-Economics as a consultant. Serge has contributed to the energy sector with works and papers concerning energy market Outlooks/Forecasts, associated Price-Risk and also acts as a panellist at Energy forums such as the Major Energy User’s Council (MEUC). Mr Mazodila is a full member of the Society Technical Analysts (STA) in the UK and gained a Certificate in Technical Analysis from International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA). Serge holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from The University of York, with a strong focus on Investment and Portfolio Management.
