The first is little recognized potential for a strong solar storm to cause blackouts lasting for months.

Adding 50 million more solar roofs to accelerate distributed generation would also help. That will need some minor new rerouting technology and on-site energy storage.
The second Time Bomb is the fuel pools at Fukushima.
Pool #4 is 100 feet in the air in a bulging building that is expected to collapse in a 7.0 earthquake. There is a 98% probability of such a quake within 3 years. The radioactivity that would be released if the pools collapse can have a huge impact on all of the Northern hemisphere. It might be similar to a nuclear exchange during the cold war.
Finally, we come to the Third Time Bomb, climate change.
If we do what is wise to prevent the first Time Bomb from causing a cataclysm, rapid replacement of fossil fuels will become extremely urgent.

For what it's worth. Stocking p on batteries, fuel and potassium iodide is fundamental at this point.
However, we are approaching the peak period for solar storm activity in this 11 year cycle.
Both Time Bombs are very dangerous.
