Obama Should Complete Promise and Install Solar Power at the White House

In his first term as President, Barack Obama promised that he would bring solar power to the White House, yet nothing has yet happened.

If the US means to lead the world in the battle against climate change and the adoption of renewable energy, then as President, Barack Obama should lead by example.

Do you think Obama should install solar power at the White House in order to show the US and the world that he is serious about renewable energy?

If Obama is serious about renewable energy and climate change then installing solar panels at the White House would be a small, but important gesture.

At the same time though, his entire stance on climate change will be made or broken with his decision about the Keystone XL pipeline; it wont matter whether he installs the solar panels, if he then goes and approves the Keystone project.
