Sam Kirtley has studied finance and economics and traded on the financial markets for a number of years, in sectors including gold, silver and oil as well as other commodity and equities markets, using trading instruments such as futures, options, financial spread betting as well as stocks and ETF/ETNs

Bob Kirtley has traded options since 1980, is chartered and holds a M.Sc. in Project Management.

The Gold Prices Newsletter and The Silver Prices Newsletter were founded by Sam Kirtley and Bob Kirtley in 2006 to provide free commentary on the gold and silver markets after trading precious metals successfully for a number of years.

Whilst Sam Kirtley runs SK Options Trading, and Bob the two investment sites, the businesses have close ties and share resources.
