Juan Carlos Zuleta holds a Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, Saint Paul, USA and Ph.D. studies in Economics at the New School for Social Research in New York, USA.  He has a long trajectory as lithium economics analyst that can be traced back to the beginning of the nineties. He has since published a number of articles and blogs on the economics of lithium, and has been interviewed by The New York Times, La Nacion (Argentina), DT Magazine (Spain), Radio France International, BBC World, National Geographic, Alja Zeera, CNN International, CNN (In Spanish) Bloomberg Television, DEF Magazine (Argentina), ABC TV (Australia), CBC (Canada) and the Guardian (UK). Due to his contributions to EV World.Com, Industrial Minerals and Seeking Alpha.Com during the period 2008-2009, he was invited to participate as a speaker at both the inaugural Lithium Supply & Markets Conference (LS&M) held in January 2009 in Santiago, Chile as well as the second LS&M Conference held in January 2010 in Las Vegas, USA. Lastly, over the last three years he has been invited to speak at specialized conferences in Chile, USA, Argentina, Brazil, United Kingdom, China and Germany.
